Our very first post

This is our very first post. So please treat us gently.

Christmas is over, we've all still got hangovers from all that (organic) beer, our Hangover Eye Pillows have been selling well, and we're now on the way to creating a wonderful blog...

But I'm jumping the gun a bit here. I should explain who we are, and why we've decided to have a blog, and how you can help us become even better in the new year.

We make our own luxury, handmade organic soaps and skincare products, and distribute and sell a range of organic aromatherapy products that we buy from suppliers that meet our high ethical and trading standards. We've also just started producing our own Natural Soya Votive Candles to complement the ones we buy in, using organic essential oils.

So our range will be expanding in 2008, and that's where the blog, and you, come in.

We've had a news page on our website for quite some time now and publish a newsletter, but a news page is just that - a news page with no interaction.

We need feedback on what we sell, which of our products people like, suggestions for new products, but more importantly we need a way of getting to know our customers and prospective customers and a way of sharing our ideas with them, asking for their opinions, and a way to make Essentially Natural more like a 'real' shop where people can come in and talk about what they've read in the news or seen in an advert in a magazine or on the internet or on TV or whatever.

OK, so that's what's in it for us - put simply, the blog will be a way for us to make what we sell to you even better.

But what's in it for you?

I will be publishing any articles I find of interest to do with organic and natural health and beauty or bodycare, but on a wider scale on ethical living in general.

Each week I'll be giving hints and tips on using essential oils, for beginners as well that for those already into massage and aromatherapy.

You'll even find the occasional recipe - I mean cooking recipe - and I'd welcome comments on anything we publish.

But without comments from you, the blog will be as lifeless (but perhaps a bit more interesting) than a news page, so please do write.

Well, I think that will do for my first introductory post. I will write more before the year ends and hope that our Ethical Living blog from Essentially Natural will be enjoyable and informative to all its readers.

Dennis.
