Testing yet another iPhone app to use for blogging, this time ByWord

This app has been recommended and is in use by other blind and visually impaired users. It seems to have many features, including of course Markdown, and you can also preview your document as an HTML formatted version and even create a PDF.

With spellchecking, Word count and much more it’s worth investigating.

But, as always, the main thing to be seen is whether it will successfully upload my posts to my account on Blogger (or Blogspot).

Celebrate my new Guide dog this Bank Holiday Weekend!

As those of you who follow us on Twitter at www.twitter.com/e_nat or on Facebook at www.facebook.com/essentiallynaturaluk will know, I am training with a new guide dog at the moment.
 And, yes, sales are definitely down as my mind has not been on work.

But then I can't think of a nicer reason not to have to spend my time on marketing.

Barney is a puppy in his behaviour when out of harness and not working, but I have a feeling he will be able to cope with the difficult semi-rural environment we live in here in Rossendale.

My full training schedule starts on Tuesday, so my thoughts for the next month will again, I fear, be on Barney rather than on work.

You can, of course, always leave an answerphone message for us or email me if you need a query answering or prefer to order over the telephone and I will get back to you the same day if I can.

In the meantime, why not sneak an order in while I'm out training with my new guide dog and you'll be sure to get an extra smile from me when I discover it.

An update and some thoughts

A moment's rest before the next round of activity begins!

I'm glad to say that all the Mother's Day orders were posted in time and we have just one to deliver locally today. We seem to be getting back on track at last, at least in our production/orders/delivery schedule.

Also, the problem with our invoices showing with a Dollar symbol instead of a Pound sign has now been fixed. One thing I've learned from this: If you fix something yourself (however long and frustrating a process), you do come out with more knowledge and are more in control of your website than you were before!

But we still have a problem that I will have to get help for, but it does not affect the website from a customer's point of view.

FaceBook are (or should that, correctly, be is?) revamping their 'pages' app and layout, some of which will help customers and business providers, but I wonder about possible drawbacks. People do like familiarity, and too muych change too quickly may drive people away from FaceBook I fear.

And as the sunshine makes everyone, including me, feel happy - my thoughts are turning to new product ideas.
