Our deals with joy through FaceBook

It's been a while since I've written on my blog, but I hope we're now back in business with something for you all.

I'm writing mainly to other business owners here, but if you're not one, just skip to the last paragraph.
As the internet has taken over our lives, new things have come and gone, but one thing is here to stay--Social Networking.

I'm very aware that many of our customers are past there youth, but even if they themselves are not on FaceBook, many of their sons, daughters and grandchildren are, for more time in the day than their long-suffering parents/teachers may like.

And FaceBook is a great way to make new "friends"--people you have something in common with, whether it's where you live, about your working or leisure interests, music, films, games, hobbies, etc.

And We've discovered a great way of tapping into that resource to spread the word about what we do, why you should buy organic/natural/fairly traded products, and, yes, in the end, why you should look to us for some of your needs in this area.

DealsJoy at www.dealsjoy.com have launched a little app that allows businesses with a FaceBook page to offer "deals" in the form of voucher codes to customers in a simple, effective way.

Once you set up an account, type in details of your location and install the "app" on your FaceBook page you're ready to go.

You can offer deals that you know you're customers will want to share with their friends, and as this happens you'll end up with more fans on FaceBook.

Currently we have two deals online. One is 20 percent off one of our limited edition soaps, and the other is for a free month's subscription to our Soap and Candle Club to give customers the chance to beat postage increases coming into effect on Monday in the UK.

Whether or not DealsJoy will overtake the troubled GroupOn is to be seen, but they are to be commended for offering something at no cost to businesses who are struggling in this recession to overcome stiff competition and point consumers their way.

Well done, DealsJoy!
